FAQs for Boat Insurance

Some states don’t require insurance for watercraft. However, some marinas may require you to have insurance, and most banks require insurance if you are financing your boat. It’s generally a good idea to get your boat insured, even if it’s not required.

Please refer to your homeowner’s policy to note any limitations on size or value of boat covered under the policy. Also, many homeowner’s policies cover damage to the boat if it is damaged on your property; damage while it is in water is generally not covered.

All Boateka boats are eligible to be covered under insurance. Depending on the boat you select, we offer the right insurance policy at the right price.

Once you decide to buy the insurance, we will provide you with the options to pay online and over the phone.

Please see the details provided in your coverage documentation.

You can file a claim electronically and the insurance company’s representative will contact you the following business day. In case of an emergency claim, please call the phone number provided for your policy provider to get instant 24/7 support.
